So after three years and almost six sketchbooks later, I finally bought a Moleskine! Do I really need one? Probably not, though I’ve always been intrigued by them, so when Moleskines went on sale at the local art supply store (they NEVER go on sale!), I pounced. Of course, as per my own rule, I need to first fill out my current sketchbooks before embarking on these premium 3″x5″ cream-colored pages. Stay tuned…

    1. The wrapping touts “heavy paper”, and I would like to hit these pages hard with whatever I can. I’ve been using sketchbooks with light, “dry media” pages over the past few years, though those actually hold up surprisingly well to all of the markers I use in addition to fountain pen ink.

  1. They are becoming hard to find in stores and never on sale! I’m hooked on Moleskines… I started with a couple of small Storyboard sketchbooks when I was under the weather and couldn’t fathom drawing anything larger than a tiny graphic. I’ve graduated to the 5.5″ x 8.5″ (I think). Just love the quality of this paper, its durability & convenience. If you like you can check out 3 recent Sketchbook (Moleskine) entries on my blog… just doodles, nothing planned out, but I’m hooked n them as well.
